Cloudy Morning With Some Drizzle

by | Nov 4, 2015

Today At The Marina:

This morning we have a lot of gray clouds, with a little bit of rain coming down. This should be clearing up shortly and we will have a sun and cloud mix for the remainder of the day. There is a chance of a stray shower or two later in the day.

Offshore:

Anglers fishing offshore today are looking at east to northeast winds between 10 and 15 knots, before switching to out of the east to southeast. Seas will be between 2 and 4 feet. Offshore fishing has produced a strong Wahoo bite in recent days, with some nice Yellowfin Tuna and Mahi in the mix. Sadly we do not have any offshore trips scheduled for today, though Rudee Tours is running a head boat trip from 8 to 5 today, hopefully we will see some nice Sea Bass on the docks upon their return.

Inshore:

Inshore anglers will be looking at east winds between 10 and 15 knots. These winds will bring seas to between 2 and 3 feet. There is another chance for some more rain late this morning and evening. Inshore fishing has been a little slow here recently with only a few Bluefish being caught. Sadly we do not have any inshore trips scheduled for today

Rudee Inlet:

The Speckled Trout are really biting in Rudee Inlet recently, they have been predominantly throw backs but there has been some nice keepers in the mix. The most popular bait for Speckled Trout has been the chartreuse gulp on a light jig head. There are still a few lingering Spot and Croaker biting but are slim to none, they are hitting on squid and cut finger mullet.
