Cloudy with a Chance of Rain

by | Dec 1, 2015

Today at the Marina:

It’s a cloudy day here at the marina with scattered showers passing through. There is a small craft advisory today in effect until 4pm. Winds are blowing NW at 10 to 15 KT and becoming W at 5 to 10 KT early in the afternoon. Seas are 4 to 5 feet with a dominant period of 9 seconds.

Offshore:

The Wahoo are still running offshore. There have also been bites from Yellowfin and Blackfin Tuna as well. The deep drop trips have continued to produce an awesome bite of Black Sea Bass, Tilefish, Barrel Fish, and Black Bellied Rose Fish.

Inshore:

The Rockfish are still way up in the bay. We have had a few boats make the run to get to them on the all day inshore charters. The majority of the Rockfish are smaller, with some nice ones in the mix. Hopefully they get bigger and make their way out into the ocean and head our way in the near future. Don’t forget the Mid Atlantic Rockfish Shootout is just around the corner, and we still have boats available for charter for the tournament.
