Gone Fishing

Offshore:

For the first time in a few days we had a boat head out offshore. Bright and early this morning the WaveRunner headed out to the Norfolk Canyon, and started off trolling. The bite on the troll was on the slow side. So the crew decided to do a little deep drop fishing and had some luck. They returned to the docks early with a nice catch of Blueline Tilefish.

Inshore:

The High Hopes will be heading out later this morning on a half day inshore. They returned to the docks with a nice catch of Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish.

Rudee Inlet:

The bite inside Rudee Inlet continues to produce various catches. Recently the Spot bite has been hot, they have been hitting best on live bloodworms as well as the artificial fishbites. There are still some Croaker being caught as well. Flounder have been hitting on the Gulp on a light jig head with Chartreuse and White being the favorable colors. Squid continues to be a good universal bait when fishing with a bottom rig.
