Today we had the Backlash, Rebel, and Top Notch all head out to the deep water offshore. We have already heard that we can expect some nice Mahi to hit the docks. Be sure to check back with us between 5 and 6 this evening to see how they did. The Backlash, Rebel, and Top Notch returned with a nice haul of Mahi!
Inshore:
We did not have any boats fish inshore today. Over the past few days we have had some nice Spanish Mackerel hit the docks, as well as a few Bluefish in the mix of things. We have been seeing some King Mackerel hit the docks in recent days, as well as some reports of some big Red Drum being caught and released.
Rudee Inlet:
The bite inside Rudee Inlet in recent days has produced a variety of catches. We have seen some nice catches of Croaker and Spot hitting on live bloodworms and cut squid. There have also been a few Flounder that have been attacking chartreuse gulp on a light jig head. Puppy Drum have been hitting on cut finger mullet, we have started to hear rumors of some nice Speckled Trout being caught but we have yet to see any keepers here at the marina.
