Gone To The Deep

Today At The Marina:

Today we will be seeing some fog this morning, before clearing and becoming mostly sunny and nice. Highs for today will be in the low 60’s, with winds out of the South between 5 and 10 MPH. Tonight we will see increasing clouds, with a stray shower late. Lows for tonight will be in the upper 40’s, with variable winds between 5 and 10 MPH.

Offshore:

Today We have the WaveRunner fishing offshore. We believe they are Tuna fishing out at the Norfolk Canyon, and it should be a beautiful day for them with light winds and seas around 2 feet. A private boat returned with a nice catch of some Tuna, Tilefish, and a chomper Blue Fish.

Inshore:

Those fishing inshore today will be looking at light South winds between 5 and 10 KT, before increasing to between 10 and 15 KT. Seas will be between 2 and 3 feet. There is a slight chance of rain this evening, as well as a chance of rain after midnight. Inshore reports are still showing only a handful of Bluefish being caught along the beach. There are some Rockfish that are being caught way up in the bay, we remain hopeful that they will make their way closer to us. Dont forget today is the last day to register for the Mid Atlantic Rockfish Shootout, as fishing starts tomorrow!

Rudee Inlet:

Speckled Trout are still biting in Rudee Inlet. They seem to be hitting best on the Gulp on a light jig head, as well as some top water artificial baits. Though most of them remain to be smaller in size, their are some nice keepers in the mix.
