Bluefish Inshore

by | Oct 8, 2015

Today At The Marina:

We will see some areas of fog this morning, before becoming mostly sunny. We will have highs today in the mid to upper 70’s. The wind will be out of the north between 5 and 10 MPH. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with the temperature dropping down into the low 60’s. With southeast winds between 5 and 10 MPH.

Inshore:

The Capt Cheryl returned from their morning inshore with a handful of Bluefish. This was the first time anyone had really fished inshore since the storm, and fishing was on the slower side.

Offshore:

The offshore forecast for today is calling for north winds between 5 and 15 KT, before dropping out to less than 10 KT. Seas should be between 3 and 6 feet. The Wind will switch to be coming from the East to Northeast between 5 and 10 KT, bringing seas to between 3 and 5 feet. We have not had a boat able to fish offshore in roughly two weeks due to the foul weather. We are hoping to have a boat fish offshore here soon, so we will be able to see what fish are out there. We are starting to get anxiously curious….

Rudee Inlet:

The bite inside of Rudee Inlet continues to produce a decent Croaker and Spot bite. The best baits to use to try to hook up with them are either live bloodworms or fishbites on a bottom rig. There has been rumor that there are some Speckled Trout starting to show up as well, but we have not yet confirmed this.
