May 25th Update

Rudee Inlet:

The action in Rudee Inlet lately has been pretty mixed in recent days. We have heard of a few anglers still getting some Bluefish, and a very scattered Speckled Trout bite. There are still good amounts of Puppy Drum biting, hitting on cut Finger Mullet. The Bluefish will also hit on the cut Finger Mullet. The Flounder bite has been steady in recent days hitting on Gulp on a light jig head, though we have not heard of any keepers yet. There are some Croaker and Spot starting to move into the inlet, hitting on artificial bloodworms.

Inshore:

On our inshore fishing trips we are currently targeting Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish. Fishing has not been strong recently but we are expecting things to heat up at any moment. Last year we had a great inshore season with tons of Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish caught. There are Cobia being caught just south of us so they should be moving off our coast in the near future. We have had some nice Spadefish being brought in from around the light tower.

Offshore:

We have had some private boats run offshore here recently, and they have returned with some nice catches of Mahi, and a few Yellowfin Tuna in the mix of things.
