Rudee Inlet:

Those fishing in Rudee Inlet have been talking about how large the Spot have been recently! To catch spot most people have been using both Bloodworms and Bag O’ Worms FishBites. The Speckled Trout bite has slowed down after the first wave of them moved into the inlet, but they were biting in addition to the Mullet Gulps, Speckled Trout have also been caught on E-Z Clam FishBites. There has also been reports of a few small Striped Bass being caught on the bottom on cut Finger Mullet.

Inshore:

Red Drum continue their typical fall run as they rally before their final departure in a few weeks, but sadly the fleet did not see any today. Spot continue to bite this week, with boaters as well as surf anglers seeing them in numbers. The Bluefish are still running along the oceanfront. Striped Bass season debuts in the Bay this week.

Offshore:

Though the Marlin may be moving out there is still fish to be caught offshore. The Mahi bite has been great these past few weeks, with boats bringing back a ton of gaffers. Also being caught are wahoo! There have been several citation sized Wahoo weighed in as well! Already today we have seen 70 Mahi and a Yellowfin Tuna!!!

Deep Dropping is good year round here out of Virginia Beach. Those looking to go out for some meat fish, this may be the trip for you! While deep dropping you can fish for: Sea Bass, Blue Line Tile Fish, Black Bellied Rose Fish, Barrel Fish, Golden Tiles, as well as Wreck Fish.
