Overcast Kind Of Day

Today At The Marina:

We had some times of heavy fog this morning. It has since cleared and is starting to warm up. Today we will have a high near 80. Winds will be out of the southwest between 5 and 15 miles per hour. Tonight some clouds will move into the area, with a late stray shower. The winds will be southwest between 10 and 15 miles per hour. Lows will be around 65.

Offshore:

Offshore anglers have had some great fishing recently with some really nice Wahoo being caught. There has also been some nice Yellowfin Tuna hitting the docks, as well as some beautiful Mahi. There has also been a few Marlin releases. Deep drop trips have been bringing back some nice hauls of fish, remember deep dropping is good out of Virginia Beach year round!

Sadly we do not have any boats fishing offshore today.

Inshore:

Inshore fishing has been really slow recently. There has been a few Bluefish caught, as we continue to wait and hope that we start seeing some Rockfish once the water temperature drops out a little bit more.

Rudee Inlet:

Rudee Inlet continues to have a strong Speckled Trout bite, though most of them have been throwbacks. Speckled Trout can provide some good action and are fun to catch. They have been biting best on the chartreuse gulps on a light jig head. Cut bait seems to be working for a chance to catch a seldom Spot or Croaker, and possibly a Puppy Drum as well.
