Trolling and Deep Dropping in the Heat!

by | Jun 13, 2015

Offshore:

Yellowfin and Dolphin are biting like crazy offshore right now! The charter boats came back today with a variety of catches. While they were out trolling a couple of the boats tried their hand at deep-dropping and had some luck! The Git-R-Done, High Hopes, Top Notch and Rebel all came back with Yellowfin Tuna and Dolphin. The High Hopes and Rebel also had Blueline Tilefish in their catch which is always great to see. One of the Rebel’s Blueline came out to be citation sized at 13 lbs 5 oz! A couple private boats tried their hand today and also had a released White Marlin! The waters were perfect today and even though the temperatures made it a little sticky the excitement of the fish made it all worth while!

Inshore:

Inshore there are still some Bluefish as well as Cobia, Spade Fish, and Spanish Mackerel. The Veteran and Backlash fished inshore today and caught some Spanish Mackerel!

Rudee Inlet:

There are some Bluefish, Flounder, Croaker, and a few Spot in the Inlet. The hot bait right now is bloodworms, squid, or live minnows. The Spot are few and far between because the water is still warming up!
